Making Some Changes

You are receiving this because you joined our Wordmaster Academy email list. It’s been dormant for a while. Since I last talked to you, I’ve been moving forward on several new ventures and new areas of focus.

You may notice that the email heading mentions Teaching with AI. Many of the posts forthcoming will be focusing on that aspect of communication. I will still be sending out information about writing, editing, and online education in general, but most of them will explore ways that programs like ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, Claude, Bard, and Midjourney can impact education and educators.

I’m going to be trying to navigate between the hype and the hysteria about AI and focus on both its promise and its limitations. As with any tool, it can be used for good or ill. Many of my posts will intersect with writing and how writers can use Chat and other AI tools to facilitate things like proofreading, critiques, and writing those stupid blurbs for Kindle, leaving the writer free to write the important stuff that AI doesn’t do so well. And for indie authors, AI image tools can help with creation of book covers and social media posts.

Of course, I’ll also keep you updated on the new courses at WordmasterAcademy.net as well as new book releases. But most of these posts will be heavy on value.
